Year 6 head to Austria for a week’s skiing
27.02.2026

Just before half term, 31 Year 6 pupils set off on an exciting eight‑day ski adventure in Austria. After an early start and a smooth journey, the group collected their ski equipment and settled into the cosy hotel, ready for the week ahead.
Each day began with a hearty breakfast and hot chocolate before the pupils headed onto the slopes. With a mix of beginners and experienced skiers, every group made impressive progress from learning to snowplough on the nursery slopes to refining parallel turns and tackling more challenging runs by the end of the week.
The fun continued off the pistes too. Highlights included a waterpark visit, bowling, climbing, shopping, the Lucky Flitzer toboggan run, and friendly competitions that kept spirits high throughout.
The girls returned home tired but proud, full of stories and achievements from a truly memorable week in the mountains.
