A muddy day out!
14.03.2019
On Sunday 10 March we took a team of Year 5 and 6 girls to the National Prep Schools Cross Country event at Malvern College. The course was 2.6km and included hills, water jumps, mud and more mud! The team consisted of Maria, Isabella, Niamh, Molly in Year 6 and Grace H in Year 5.
The girls arrived at 11am and they walked the course, discussing tactics for the race ahead. Following a warm-up, they moved into their pens, ready for the 1pm start. With 260 girls in the field, it was a fantastic atmosphere on the starting line. All girls set off well with Maria setting the pace for High March. Throughout the course the whole team showed perseverance and determination. The final 500 metres was run across the cricket lawns with many parents cheering on the girls. Maria finished first in the High March team in 39th place with Grace H in Year 5 closely behind in 56th place. The rest of the team placed very well within the field and we await the overall team results.
Very well done to all girls who took part.
