Equestrian success
21.04.2023
In the Easter holidays, Aria and Sofia in Year 2 represented High March as individuals at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Championship event at Bury Farm.
Both girls competed in the 50cm which was a very large class and was judged on an ‘optimum time’: this means that whoever jumps a round closest to a set time is declared the winner. Both girls were a little too fast but jumped lovely clear rounds resulting in Aria coming 15th and Sofia 19th. Aria then competed in the 60cm, which again had around 45 people in the class; this event was based on the fastest round winning and Aria came 12th with yet another clear round. Sofia also took part in the in the 40cm class, which was judged on style and technique, achieving 13th place.
All in all, it was a fantastic day for the girls with 4 clear rounds out of 4. We look forward to hearing news of their future equestrian successes!
