Our swimmers push the boundaries
12.02.2025
Twenty girls from Year 4 and Year 5 travelled to RMS recently to participate in a swimming gala. They were all eager to perform well, especially since they had the opportunity to choose their own strokes. Many girls opted for a stroke different from their fastest, taking the opportunity to challenge themselves, particularly as this was a friendly gala rather than a Division 10 event or a highly competitive IAPS gala.
Before the competition, we discussed the importance of sportsmanship, both in victory and defeat. We agreed that losing should be seen as motivation to train harder, while winning should be met with equal respect for our opponents.
All the girls in the High March squad swam brilliantly, and we secured a well-deserved win. Congratulations to all our swimmers, not only for their performance but also for the grace and sportsmanship they displayed afterwards.
