Silver medals for our netballers

On Saturday 5^th March, eight Year 4 and 5 girls went to Manor Prep for a netball tournament. This was the girls’ first experience of a competitive fixture in the England Netball 5-a-side set up and they truly took the whole event in their stride.

The girls were competing against a variety of schools and succeeded in notching up five wins and just two losses. Miss Mcilwain, our Netball teacher was hugely impressed with all of the girls’ tenacity and ability to take on each position on and to try their very best at all times. Goals were scored by nearly all girls throughout the day and this will have significantly developed their confidence in an area which can be daunting at times.

Overall, the girls came second and won silver medals for the day, a result which was thoroughly deserved!
