Some excellent cricketing!

On Monday 24 June the Year 5 Cricket Team had their first matches against Maltman’s Green and Godstowe.

Our team soon got into the swing of things and in no time at all were fielding brilliantly against Maltman’s Green. Pippa and Evie managed to bowl some girls out and we also managed to keep their runs low. It was then our time to bat and we notched up a few 4s and plenty of singles. They all did really well and managed to win this game.

We were then up against Godstowe. It was a really close game in which Annika and Iris made some amazing catches and Iris bowled someone out. It was so close that the result was declared a draw.  

Well done to all the girls who took part and we are looking forward to cricket club again next summer
