Spooky, spooky, spooky!

Last Friday, Triathlon Club had fun at the Halloween Fun Run. The woods and fields were the muddiest that we have ever negotiated but it didn’t seem to bother anyone. Everyone enjoyed following the spooky course to collect treats and negotiate obstacles. The girls then raced a 1 km cross country course. Isla D and Primrose B-L won the Year 4 and 5 races respectively and took home a handsome Halloween trophy. In Year 6 the top 3 (Evie, Zoe, Iris) were so close it was impossible to declare a winner and so instead we awarded the trophy to Elisa P for exceptional improvement in running.

With the dark nights now setting in, that’s the end of Triathlon Club until the Summer Term. Sadly, the Davenies Duathlon had to be postponed due to the weather, but we are planning to take part in a few Junior park runs over the winter to maintain fitness and to make sure we’re ready for the Schools Biathlon qualifying event, date TBC.
