Bringing music to the community
Despite the recent restrictions due to the Covid-19, music-making in pupils’ homes has continued to thrive.
Twelve High March girls put their efforts together with other local children to create an hour long concert which was delivered virtually to the residents of Sunrise, Bradbury House and Bury Lodge Care Homes in Beaconsfield. Performers from Years 1 to 6 presented music of all styles from traditional and jazz to classical, performing on piano, violin, horn, drums, cello and voice.
The girls’ sheer enthusiasm for music and the joy of sharing it with the audience was truly inspiring and we hope this virtual concert will have eased the isolation the care home residents may have been experiencing and will bring the community closer together.
