A day of netball at Wellington College

The Year 6 A Netball Team travelled to Wellington College recently for the IAPS Bee Netball Tournament.

The team was placed in Pool D and the girls played 3 pool group matches. In the first match they played St Catherine’s Preparatory School and they had a close match but nevertheless secured a 6-5 victory. In their second match they played Highgate Junior School and unfortunately they lost this match. In their final match, they needed a win to progress through to the Cup Competition. The girls rose to the challenge, doing just that with a win of  12-7, which enabled them to progress to the Cup Competition. In the quarter finals they were drawn against Hurlingham School who proved to be stiff opposition. Despite the girls battling hard and scoring plenty of goals, unfortunately, they could not get the better of Hurlingham.

The girls had a wonderful day of netball and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing at Wellington College.
