A sea of green

19.03.2019

Friday, 15 March saw the Shamrock House Assembly and Charity Fundraising Day.

The day started with Year Six Shamrock House girls giving a wonderfully prepared morning assembly, presenting a detailed look into the work of the two chosen charities, British Heart Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charity.  The girls then led a variety of exciting activities throughout the day. These included a cake sale, ‘doughnut on a string’ game, ‘hungry leprechaun’ game (which proved to be very popular!), pick a shamrock, keyring design and last but certainly by no means least, Irish dancing (which was also particularly popular with the girls – thank you to Grace H, Daisy, Constance and Charlotte for their wonderful tuition! Fortunately, the strong winds held off and the day was a tremendous success raising a very impressive total for the two designated charities.

Well done to all of Shamrock House, with particular thanks going to Lily (House Captain), Molly (Vice Captain), all Year Six Shamrock House girls and parents for all of their hard work in organising the day.

Go, Shamrocks!
