A victory in our first gala of the year!

On Tuesday, 24 September, twenty-three girls from High March travelled to Maltman’s Green for a friendly swimming gala. For a few new swimmers of the swim squad it was their first swimming gala and, understandably, we were all very keen to come away with a win!

We had amazing performances from all the High March swimmers with our girls finishing in first or second place for nearly all of the races. We continued our track record of success on the relay, with some excellent swims being produced. As far as the relays are concerned, we continued being just as successful as we were last season. Team spirit certainly comes to the fore in the relays with our girls knowing how to push themselves to give maximum support to the team.

The results was that we celebrated a victory, winning by ten points. Our swim captain, Zoe, led the three cheers and the girls were thrilled to be able to celebrate a win. It was an amazing start of the season and we are looking forward to more great performances.
