An Inspirational Guest Speaker – Hannah Cockroft OBE

We were delighted to welcome the celebrated Paralympian, Hannah Cockroft OBE, as our guest speaker to our Upper School Prize Giving. Hannah is a British wheelchair racer specialising in sprint distances in the T34 classification. She is a prodigious athlete who holds the world records for the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres and 1500 metres in her classification.

Hannah gave an inspirational talk to our Year 6 pupils, encouraging them to seize all the opportunities which come their way, as you never know where they might lead! The Prize Giving was an opportunity for School to recognise the many achievements of our wonderful Year 6 cohort and Hannah assisted the Headmistress, Mrs Gater, in presenting the many prizes and awards, all richly deserved.

As Year 6 embark on a new chapter, we bid them farewell with a mixture of pride and sadness. They have all grown into remarkable individuals and we will miss them but we know that they leave us ready for the next stage of their lives! We wish them all the best for September.
