Equestrian success for Ellie!

16.09.2019

Ellie, one of our Year 6 pupils, notched up a number of successes at the weekend when she represented High March at her very first NSEA (National Schools’ Equestrian Association) event at Bury Farm, Slapton, competing in some large show jumping and dressage classes.

Ellie rode a clear round to come 4th out of 26 in the 50cm show jumping class and thus qualifying for the NSEA Regional Final in November in her first outing. She followed this up with another clear round in the 60cm show jumping and was one of only 18 in a class of 37 to go clear. Finally, she achieved a super 66% in the Prelim 13 dressage, finishing 10th out of a class of 20, an excellent achievement considering she was competing against some very experienced riders aged 11 – 13 on some rather large horses!

Well done, Ellie, and we look forward to hearing about your future successes.
