High March Alumna competes in national swimming championships
08.09.2022
At the beginning of the summer holidays, High March alumna, 17 year old Amelie, was delighted to be invited to compete in the Swim England National Swimming Championships in the 1500 metres freestyle. The Summer Nationals were held at the International Swimming Centre Pond’s Forge in Sheffield and attracted the best swimmers from around the country.
Amelie swam extremely well and, following her performance in the gruelling 30 length event, is now ranked 12th in the country in her age group (17 and over) in the 1500m. This is a great achievement for Amelie, who began her competitive swimming career at High March. She is determined to continue her success and to improve her ranking even further in the upcoming swim season
Well done, Amelie! We look forward to hearing about your swimming successes in the future.
