High March perform at Beaconsfield Now!
15.05.2019
On Saturday, 11 May girls from Years Five and Six performed at ‘Beaconsfield Now’ at the Beaconsfield Rugby Club. The event was an outdoor fair run by the Beaconsfield Society and was for people of all ages to see the wonderful work undertaken by local charities and not-for-profit organisations, as well as some wonderful activities in which families could take part.
Following on from the very successful performances at last year’s event, High March was once again invited to perform as part of the live entertainment. I am delighted to say that the girls were wonderfully received by an appreciative and ever expanding audience. The performance started with some very accomplished vocal and instrumental solos from Chloe A-S (Voice), Hafsah (Piano), Elvira (Voice), Thea (Flute), Chloe J (Cello) and Jessica (Voice). The High March Chamber Choir then gave an enchanting and spirited finale to the performance with the songs, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ from the musical ‘Joseph’, the traditional Swahili song, ‘Amani’, before concluding with the girls’ favourite, ‘This Is Me’ from the film, ‘The Greatest Showman’. The final song involved a number of challenging solos delightfully performed by Phoebe, Niamh, Lola, Audrey and Madison. All of the girls adapted to the outdoor performing setting and use of microphones very quickly and once again demonstrated the wonderful variety of musical talent we have at High March.
Well done to all the girls who performed.
