Some excellent swimming

On Monday, 3^rd June a group of Year 5 and Year 6 girls travelled to Godstowe school for a friendly swimming gala.

Our girls swam brilliantly with several girls finishing first in their heat. In Year 5, Sofia came first in 25m Butterfly and also 25m Backstroke whilst Elisa finished first in 25m freestyle. Madison in Year 6 finished first in the 25m Breaststroke. Our Year 5 freestyle relay team of Ophelia, Jasmin, Sofia and Alice was also very successful.

Overall, we were dominant in the breaststroke and evenly matched in the freestyle whilst Godstowe had the edge in backstroke and butterfly. Our girls demonstrated great resilience and team spirit throughout the gala and Edie led the three cheers at the end of the event.

Well done, girls! Once again, the standard of swimming was truly excellent.
