Upper School get in the swing of World Book Day

On Thursday 6th March, as part of our celebrations for Book Week, the girls at Upper School, in common with those at Junior House, dressed up as their favourite book characters.  Everyone looked amazing and we were delighted to see a huge range of characters from many well-known children’s books.

It was wonderful to get a real appreciation of all the lovely books our pupils clearly enjoy so much. The  girls’ enthusiasm for reading was clear and it was wonderful to see so many diverse outfits and costumes.

In Form time and English lessons, each class took part in a reciprocal reading activity; it was heart-warming to see our older pupils reading with the younger ones and sharing their love of reading together.
