Year 5 win the netball tournament

The Year 5 A Netball Team recently travelled to Pipers Corner for their end of season Bee Netball Tournament (5 a side with rotations).

The team started off playing Maltman’s Green School and got off to an excellent start with a 10-0 win. Next they played Pipers Corner School and, by this point having had a good warm-up, they came together brilliantly as a team in all their rotations and they notched up an 8-1 win. Then they played Heatherton School – another win, this time with a score of 7-0. As a result, they were declared winners of the tournament overall and and the girls were delighted to receive their gold medals and winners’ certificates. Each and every girl really improved during the course of the tournament, they had lots of fun and are now looking forward to their games next season in Year 6.

Mrs Butterfield, Head of PE, would like to send a big ‘thank-you’ to Mrs Green, the netball coach, and all the parents for their help and support at this tournament.
